Angel is not a very good person. I don’t say that because he has been doing unlicensed electrical work. I say that because he consistently lies about it. And then he double down on his lies. And he continues to dig his hole deeper and deeper. It’s clear to everyone that he has been doing electrical work without a license. A good man would admit to that. He would say that he made a mistake and that he wants to correct it. He would explain that he is working towards getting an electrical license. But that’s the exact opposite of what Angel has been doing. Angel has been lying about his wrongdoing, expecting everyone who reads it to be stupid enough to believe all of this. Look at his 20 year old van. Look at his one bedroom apartment that this business is based out of. This is not the greatest contractor in New Jersey and that’s not why he’s receiving these bad reviews. The only reason why he is receiving the reviews is because he is the only contractor on Google do not have a license.

Smart Solutions had someone at my house within an hour of calling on a weekend. The employee that came to my house (Johny) did not give up on the issue until it was fixed, which took several hours and he would have been well within his right to give up. The service was a great value - saved my butt for $99. Thanks, Smart Solutions!!

I've had too many encounters with condescending, arrogant technicians recently but Angel was very professional and a breath of fresh air. Did not talk down to me. Answered all my questions - and I had a lot! He mentioned their other products but did not try to sales talk me their other products. Went out of his way to check something out that wasn't part of the requested service. Kept a clean working area. That the issues were resolved is the cherry on top. Will request him for future jobs.

It’s important that you read this before proceeding. Angel continually says that the negative reviews are from a competitor who is jealous of him. Why would anybody be jealous of him? He is a very tiny craigslist handyman. His entire business is based out of a second floor one bedroom apartment above a bodega. His van is older than he is and has really terrible graphics on it. If a competing contractor wanted to disparage other contractors to get ahead, they would be going after the big and reputable contractors. Jersey City has at least 100 contractors and all of them are larger than smart solutions. The only reason why smart solutions is the only contractor who is getting negative reviews is because smart solutions is the only contractor that has been bragging about doing work that they are not licensed to do. It’s their choice when this stops.

Just had these guys in for a clogged kitchen drain, which I had tried to fix myself but couldn't get it done. Erick was on time, knowledgeable and fixed the drain in under 30 mins start to finish. Price was much better than any other plumber I called. Will definitely use and recommend them again.
