2 Years ago I needed a big electrical job done, install a full house generator. I asked around for recommended electricians. I got 4 quotes, Francis was 1 of them. He was not the most expensive, nor was he the least expensive. But he was the ONLY one who inspected both inside and outside every aspect of the job that had to be done . Then he fully explained to us what needed to be done and how long it would take. No one else did any of that. We hired him. He was done on time, except for usual unexpected town inspection delays. His workers cleaned up after each day. A couple months later we had a computer error on the generator, called Francis and he was there within a day or 2 and fixed the issue. Took out his service contract and his last maintenance was done on the time he said and was extremely thorough. A couple months ago we asked for a quote for replacing our 30 year old under the cabinet florescent lighting. He quoted a very fair price for the fixtures, I did my research, and the installation. The day he said, he was here and installed perfectly and left our counter tops spotless. I have recommended Francis to a couple of my co-workers who have also hired him for their electrical work and they all had the same glowing satisfaction comments. I would highly recommend Francis FD Electric for any electrical job, big or small. Those who complained, did they bother to ask about extenuating circumstances for his delay?? Doubt it. All contractors do have them especially when their work is critical. Be fair and know all the details before you criticize.

Francis from FD Edison is always on time, polite, and extremely professional. He installed recessed lights for me and since then I have used him for any electrical work I need. He charges honestly and very reasonably and is very neat on the job. Give him a try, you will be glad you did.

Do not hire this guy. Fran was recommended by pool installer to do electrical installation for the pool. Long story short, the electric installation did not pass town inspection. I have called, emailed, and texted Fran to have him fix the problem so it would pass inspection. He has never called, emailed or texted me back. I hired another contractor to fix fran’s bad work that fran was paid for. No excuses. You’ve been warned. Find someone else to do your electric work.

Like the other 2 posts above, Fran will appear as friendly and responsive until gets your money, and then vanish mid job without any contact. As unprofessional as they get. Don’t add yourself to the list of victims. The replacement electricians both said his work was a disaster. The positive reviews here are obviously friends or acquaintances. There were no extenuating circumstances.
